WE-AR Inc. (hereinafter “the Company”) has established and disclosed this Privacy Policy in accordance with applicable data protection laws to protect the personal information of creators and to ensure the prompt and smooth handling of related complaints.

Article 1 (Purpose)

This Privacy Policy sets forth how the Company collects, uses, retains, provides, and destroys the personal information of creators (hereinafter “Members” or “Creators”) who use the SimpleSeed for creators app (hereinafter “the Service”). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to this Privacy Policy. This policy works in conjunction with the “Terms of Service – SimpleSeed for creators.”

Article 1 (Purpose)

This Privacy Policy sets forth how the Company collects, uses, retains, provides, and destroys the personal information of creators (hereinafter “Members” or “Creators”) who use the SimpleSeed for creators app (hereinafter “the Service”). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to this Privacy Policy. This policy works in conjunction with the “Terms of Service – SimpleSeed for creators.”

Article 2 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)

The Company processes personal information of creators solely for the following purposes. Should any changes occur in the processing purposes, the Company will take necessary measures, including obtaining separate consent in accordance with applicable laws.

  1. Membership Registration and Management:

    • To confirm the creator’s registration intent, maintain membership status, prevent fraudulent use, send notifications and communications, and handle complaints.

  2. Service Provision:

    • To enable creators to participate in affiliate campaigns (and, in the future, seeding campaigns) with brands, facilitate content creation, and support commerce functionalities—including product sales, shipping, and the collection of address and contact information—as well as to process and provide campaign data (including data collected via the Shopify API).

  3. Complaint Handling:

    • To verify the identity of creators, process inquiries and complaints, conduct fact-checking, and deliver responses.

  4. Event Participation:

    • To provide information on and opportunities for participation in promotional events.

  5. Advertising and Marketing Services:

    • To analyze campaign performance, deliver tailored content and advertisements, and support marketing efforts related to creator activities.

Article 3 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)

The Company processes and retains personal information according to applicable laws or as agreed with the creator. The retention periods for each category of personal information are as follows:

  1. Membership Registration and Management:

    • Retained until the creator withdraws membership. However, if issues such as ongoing investigations or unsettled debts arise, retention will continue until those matters are resolved.

  2. Service Provision:

    • Retained until the completion or termination of the service. In accordance with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the following retention periods apply:

Campaign and Marketing Data:

  • Campaign content and analytics data—including data from affiliate and seeding campaigns, and campaign data collected via the Shopify API—are retained until the creator requests deletion or the account is terminated, for a maximum of 1 year.

    • Retained until the event concludes or prizes are delivered.

  2. Complaint Handling:

    • Retained until the inquiry or complaint is fully processed.

  3. Data Required Under the Communications Secret Protection Act:

    • Information such as access logs is retained for 3 months.

Article 3 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)

The Company processes and retains personal information according to applicable laws or as agreed with the creator. The retention periods for each category of personal information are as follows:

  1. Membership Registration and Management:

    • Retained until the creator withdraws membership. However, if issues such as ongoing investigations or unsettled debts arise, retention will continue until those matters are resolved.

  2. Service Provision:

    • Retained until the completion or termination of the service. In accordance with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the following retention periods apply:

  1. Provision to Brands:

    • If a creator provides address information and other related contact details for commerce and settlement purposes, such information may be provided to third-party brands (clients) to facilitate commerce functions (e.g., product shipping, order verification). In such cases, the creator must provide explicit consent, and the receiving brand is obligated to use the information exclusively for the designated purpose and in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

  2. Legal Requirements:

    • Personal information may be provided if required by law.

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Company processes personal information solely within the purposes specified in Article 2 and will not provide personal information to third parties without the creator’s prior consent, except as required by law. In particular:

  1. Provision to Brands:

    • If a creator provides address information and other related contact details for commerce and settlement purposes, such information may be provided to third-party brands (clients) to facilitate commerce functions (e.g., product shipping, order verification). Automatic Data Collection:

  • During service use, information such as IP address, cookies, usage records, metadata, and visit logs is automatically collected. Additionally, device details (model, OS version, app version, device identifier, language, country), in-app purchase information (subscription details, start/end dates, receipt ID, etc.), and campaign performance data may be collected.

  1. Content Upload:

    • When creators upload campaign content, the Service may request access to the device’s photo library (or videos); however, such content is processed only as necessary for the provision of the Service and is not unnecessarily copied or transmitted.

  2. Methods of Collection:

    • Personal information is collected via information directly provided by creators in the Service, automatically during use, and generated during the inquiry handling process.

Automatic Data Collection:

  1. Amendments: The Company may modify these Terms as needed. Any changes will be announced through the Service’s notice channels.

  2. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.

Article 7 (Destruction of Personal Information)

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

    • Management of access rights to personal information processing systems, installation of access control systems, and use of encryption during data transmission and storage.

  2. Installation, Operation, and Refusal:

    • Creators may adjust their browser settings to allow, notify, or refuse cookies; however, refusal may limit access to certain features of the Service.

  3. Analytics and Ad Blocking:

    • Software may be used to analyze automatically generated data when creators visit the website or use the mobile Service, and creators can opt out via appropriate settings.
